Enervee is  looking for a dynamic Proposal Manager to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for delivering clear, comprehensive proposals and business cases, both to support proactive outreach to Enervee prospects and in response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and sole source opportunities. How You Are Going to Make an Impact

Our Proposal Manager has the ability to think at both a broad conceptual level (to understand Enervee’s position relative to each prospect’s needs, and the various ways we can advance each prospect’s stated and unstated objectives) and at a finely detailed level to ensure each proposal requirement is completed precisely in addition to the following:

    • Develop, maintain and communicate a clear understanding of Enervee’s unique positioning in the market. Work with the entire Enervee team, especially Sales, Customer Success, Product, Market Development and technical leadership, to precisely grasp Enervee’s value to our partners and prospects, our edge over our competitors, and the various objectives we can support and advance for a utility or other prospect
    • Write proposals and project manage the entire proposal process from start to finish. Own the proposal development and delivery process, from initial RFP/request coming from our Sales and Customer Success teams to fleshing out the full proposal deliverables based on the requirements in the RFP, RFI or other request from Enervee prospects and partners. Oversee drafting and iteration of all content, gathering requirements and information from relevant Enervee team members. Ensure a high quality level and that deliverables meet the complete requirements of each prospect request
    • Manage documentation. Develop and maintain systems to manage documentation across legal, IT, data security, technical, pricing and product/business requirements. Secure sign-off from requisite Enervee parties to ensure all standard language remains up-to-date and accessible.

    What You Bring to the Team

    Enervee’s Proposal Manager possesses the highest personal integrity and passion for advancing energy efficiency and decarbonization. Curious, creative and quick to learn. Strong prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and deadlines

    • 5+ years of proposal writing experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Technical writing, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
    • Exceptional writing skills, and experience in proposal development, grant writing or a similar environment involving drafting and delivery of lengthy proposals under highly prescriptive frameworks
    • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage the large database of documents relevant to Enervee’s proposal workflow and to clearly understand, communicate and package the documents and requirements for each ask
    • Comfortable working cross functionally, with the inclination and ability to understand the expertise each of your colleagues brings to bear and to draw valuable information out of them to support document development
    • Proficiency with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), basic financial models, and flowcharts / graphics tools

    Bonus points!

    • Design skills, including the ability to develop figures, flowcharts and similar graphics for inclusion in proposals (potentially in coordination with other Enervee staff) is a plus
